| Interfiber Analysis introduces new 2D Mode Solver Software to compute the guided mode fields based on measured, or synthetic, fiber refractive index profiles. This software can also predict mode coupling at fiber interconnections or splices. It can also predict macrobend effects such as mode field distortion or loss. Finally it can predict overlap between guided modes and rare-earth doped regions in the fiber.
